We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Shopify Developer (Intern/Unpaid) to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who possess a foundational understanding of Shopify and website development. The successful candidate will be passionate about crafting engaging user experiences and eager to grow their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Shopify websites, ensuring they are visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Work closely with the development team to implement front-end changes to websites based on provided designs and specifications.
- Learn and apply best practices for responsive design to ensure website compatibility across different devices and browsers.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to website layouts and functionality.
- Participate in code reviews to learn from feedback and contribute to improving code quality across projects.
- Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in front-end development and Shopify platform updates to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Shopify platform and its templating language (Liquid).
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to write clean and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced development environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience in website development is a plus, but not required.
